Obituary

Zana Lee Harris was born the oldest child on September 11, 1938, to Jeanette Roberta Clotelle Armstead and Arnold Lyles in Springfield, Missouri. Zana went to Lincoln School from the first grade to her junior year. She graduated from Central High School in the class of 1956.

She professed a hope in Christ at an early age. She was baptized at the age of nine at Washington Avenue Baptist Church where Rev. R.C. Campbell was the pastor. After she graduated she became a licensed masseuse, in the early 1960's, she later went to work for Zenith. While working for Zenith, she married Philip Cobbs Harris. To this union they raised three children. They were married for more than 30 years. In 1972 Zana suffered a stroke at the age of 31.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Philip; sons, Martinous Madkins and Philip Craig Harris; her parents, and her grandmother Jennie Harvey Allen.

Zana departed this life on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in Spring, Texas.

She is survived by her daughter, Philecia Lea Moore; son in law, Freddie Moore Jr.; two sisters, Marilyn Ann Byrd and Alana Jane Lyles; one brother, Christopher Lynn Schuler; grandchildren, Freddie Moore III and Harrison Alexandre Moore; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte (4500 South Lone Pine Ave. Springfield, MO). Visitation will be held one hour prior at 12:00 p.m. Following services a burial will take place in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
