Yoshiko "Yoshi" Miyagi White, age 87, passed away peacefully at her home in Springfield, Missouri, on Thursday, November 20, 2025 surrounded by friends and family.

Yoshiko was born on Sunday, December 12, 1937 in Okinawa, Japan. Yoshi had a strong and resilient spirit. She lived her life with honesty and humor. Her dry wit brought laughter to those around her, and her smile could light up any room. She found joy in simple beauty with her garden, her flowers, her beloved dogs, and the warmth she created through crocheting. Loyal, generous, and full of life, Yoshi loved her family fiercely and lived every day with gratitude.

Her wisdom, strength, and the love she cultivated will remain forever in the hearts she touched.

She is survived by, her siblings: Seisho, Fujiko and Yoshio;  children, James, Naomi, Ted and Lynn White; grandchildren, Kevin, Ronnie, Littney, Scotland, Kacie, Keegan, Sean and Adalynn; great-grandchildren, Carter, Finley and Raelynn.

Yoshiko is preceded in death by her husband, Larry White and one granddaughter, Logan.

Funeral service will be at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Klingner Cope Funeral Home Rivermonte with Pastor Larry Ball officiating.

Graveside service will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 26 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
