William "Clyde" Lemons, 98 of Springfield passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014. He was born December 25, 1915 to Oliver and Millie Williams Lemons in Dallas Cty, MO. Clyde married Ruth Milstead on October 26, 1941 in Springfield, MO.

Clyde was a member of High Street Baptist Church attending the Fellowship Class. Ham radio was his passion but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruth, a daughter Susan Hessefort, 2 sisters, Chloe Cunningham and Gladys Wright. He is survived by his son, Terry Lemons and his wife Donna; granddaughter, Cindi O''Connor and her husband Joe; 3 great grandchildren, Emily Hensley and her husband Christopher; Jacob Nanney and Carlee Nanney; step great granddaughter, Bailey O''Connor; 2 great, great grandchildren, Caiden and Piper Hensley; brother in law Kenneth Cunningham and a special niece Wanda Chamberlain.

A funeral service will be held Friday, October 3, 2014 at 12:00 in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home, 1635 N. Benton with a visitation from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
