Obituary

William Eugene Kirkpatrick, 93, of Nixa, MO departed this life on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. He was born on Sunday, May 8, 1932 in Omaha, NB to Lillian Christine Stauffacher and Marvin Eugene Kirkpatrick.

Bill proudly served his country during the Korean War as a member of Attack Squadron 115. After being honorably discharged, he went into Law Enforcement, where he moved up the ranks and retired as the Chief of Police. During his service he earned a master’s degree and graduated from the FBI Academy. After retirement, Bill bred, raised, trained, showed and rode Missouri Fox Trotters. He did volunteer work and served the Church. You could find him on Wednesdays at the golf course. Bill was a great man and will be missed by all that loved and knew him. The family would like to thank Cox Hospice, especially his nurse Melissa and the loving staff at Bradford Court for their compassion and care.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant twin boys.

Bill is survived by his wife of 70 years Sally, two sons Mark (wife Dianna) and Doug Kirkpatrick, one daughter Christine Polk (husband Gary), five grandkids Will, Courtney, Ashley (husband Brandon), Sierra and Savannah and one great-granddaughter Freya.
