Willard Carl Metzelthin Jr. 72, of Springfield, Missouri passed away at home on May 18, 2018. He was born on June 23, 1945 in Springfield to Willard Sr. and Geneva (Kasinger) Metzelthin.

Carl married Marianne in 1969 and to this union one son was born, Trey Metzelthin.

He was a local business owner. Carl loved cars, especially Corvettes, stock car racing, the lake and owned many boats when he was younger. He also was a big soccer supporter.

Preceding him in death are his parents and sister, Linda Freeman-Linegar.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Marianne; son, Trey and his wife Shanna; granddaughter, Elyse; brother, J.C. Metzelthin and his wife Krystal and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte (4500 S. Lone Pine Ave Springfield, MO) with an entombment following in the Rivermonte Mausoleum
