June Chorice, 88 of Willard, was born on June 4, 1925 in Pocahontas, AR to Kizzie Slayton and A.W. Lemmons. She passed away on April 14, 2014 surrounded by her family.

She was married to Ralph Chorice on October 20, 1944 and to this union 6 children were born. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage until his passing in September 19, 2006. She loved to cook, sew and thoroughly enjoyed her family and friends. She became a Christian at a young age and was a member of Kansas Expressway Church of Christ.

June is survived by her children, Ken (Marsha) Chorice of Bartlett, TN, Kathy Shatto of Springfield, Randy (Cheryl) Chorice of Paola KS, R.D. (Julie) Chorice of Springfield, Becky (Kyle) Fancher of Willard and Fawn (Jon) Schenk of Lebanon; daughter-in-law, Gloria Chorice of Olathe, KS; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded by her husband Ralph; parents; 4 brothers, Talton, Larue, Dub and Ray Lemmons; 4 sisters, Daisy Hudson, Lena Lindsey, Lima Spikes and Katherine Lindsey.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 5:00 till 7:00 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO. Service will be Saturday, April 19 at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Minister Ray Sullins officiating the service. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
