W. Joann Deaver, 87, of Springfield, MO passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023.

She was born on Thursday, January 2, 1936 in Linden, TN to Grace Burks. Joann was the oldest of four children. Her parents and siblings called her Jody. She was married three times, to Jim Fry in 1955, Gerald Green in 1960 and Jim Deaver Sr. in 1970. Joann loved shopping, but her passion was jewelry. She supported our nation's Veterans through her work and membership at the American Legion. Over the years, she worked in retail, food service and manufacturing.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Linda Jackson, one grandson Ryan Hedgcoth and her former husband Jim Deaver Sr.

She is survived by her children Rebecca Lyons, Gail Hedgcoth-Shirley, Cynthia Green-Helmer, Micky Kittleman, Jimmy Deaver II, Glenda Brown, Kyle and Gary Green, two brothers Ron and Larry Dean, 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the
Danforth Cemetery in Strafford, MO with the Rev. Michael Summers officiating.
