Walter Gault, 85, passed on to the next world, Tuesday February 20, 2017. He was surrounded by his loving family and will be missed dearly. He was born June 18, 1931 to the late Walter and Mary (Ferguson) Gault, near Springfield, MO.
Walter was a farmer, a builder, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a friend and a mentor. He saw the similarities in people rather than their differences and was always able to see the light in any situation. He operated his own business for 30+ years and built a beautiful home- stead with his loving wife Delores.
He was clever and smart like no other. He was always quick with a quip and soft and earnest with a sly grin. He was a profound individual who was loved by many. He died like he lived, stubborn, fighting, funny, loving and full of. . . good cheer.
Survivors include his son, Bryan Gault and wife, Nina of Fair Grove; grandson, Justin Gault and partner Rebekah Polly of Rogersville; brothers James and Robert Gault and their families; brother-in-law Harry Scott and wife, Sharon, of Strafford; daughter-in-law, Bernice Baver of St. Louis and many others who loved him and considered him family.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am with services respectively following at 11:00 am Friday, February 24th, 2017, in the chapel at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte (4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO 65804.) Burial will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice Compassus (1465 E. Primrose Springfield, MO 65804) or C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue (1328A W. Sunshine St. Springfield, MO)
