Obituary

W.A. Baker 82, passed away on May 1, 2018 in Ash Grove Health Care Facility surrounded by his seven children at his bedside. He was born on February 22, 1936 in Rushville, MO to William Aldon and Beulah Ann (DeWeese) Baker.

W.A. was married to Agnes Sprague (Baker) for 19 ½ years, and in this union they had six children. Raising their children in a Christian home was always very important to him. After Agnes's passing some years later W.A. married Georgene and they had our little brother Matthew. W.A. was a mechanic, was into the water softener business in his earlier years, W.A. ran Magic Sparkle Car Wash on Glenstone for several years and fun memories of taking his children to Table Rock Lake on weekends.

He is preceded in death by his father, William; mother, Beulah; first wife, Agnes and wife, Maxine.

Survivors include his seven children and spouses, James and Mary, Mark and Janie, John and Becky Baker, Sarah and Mike Pringle, Martha and Rusty Parnell, Mary and Tom Braswell and Matthew and Chala Baker; 31 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 4 siblings, Rachel Smith, Jean O'Dell, Martha Shumate and Beulah Alice.

The family would like to thank the staff and administration of CMH-Ash Grove Health Care Facility, for all the love and care they provided for our dad W.A. (Bill) Baker and his family from 2010-2018. We greatly appreciated you all!

A private family viewing was held on May 3, 2018 at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte. Graveside services will be held on June 2, 2018 at 1:00pm at Robberson Prairie Cemetery.
