Vonnie Lea Rickman, 93, formerly of Springfield, MO, passed away from natural causes, peacefully in her sleep, on Saturday, April 2, 2022 in Desoto, KS. She was born on Thursday, January 10, 1929 in Springfield, MO to Homer and Jewel Williams.

Vonnie was a true homemaker, appreciated for always being patient and supportive while raising six children, and admired for her strength, after three of them passed. It was well known that she was an amazing cook and gardener, and less known that she was also a great artist and created beautiful charcoal drawings. She was an avid reader, sometimes reading an entire book in a day. Vonnie was deeply spiritual and instilled a sense of peace to those who loved her. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

Vonnie is survived by her daughter Sharon Lea Wyatt, Sharon's daughter Chanon Short and husband Gary Short; daughter Andrea Renee Harding, her husband Andrew Harding and two children Kristyn and Olivia Harding; son Timothy Charles Creson, wife Jaime Creson, and two children David and Lauren Creson.  Her stepchildren Ed Rickman, Linda Cunningham, Donald Rickman, Theresa Rickman, and Karen Rickman. Additionally, Vonnie's sister Mary and her late husband Lowel Marlin and brother Clyde Williams and his wife Helen.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) E. Rickman; son Gary Rollin Creson; son William (Tony) Anthony Creson; and his surviving children Jason Shepard and Shayla King. Her daughter Patricia Ann Kelly and her surviving sons Kobi Danske and Patrick Kelly. Her stepchild Shane Rickman. Lastly, her sister Freda Koch and brother Edwin (Ed) Williams.

A visitation will be held from 12-1 PM on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Highway EE, Springfield, MO 65802 with funeral services to follow at 1 PM. She was well-cared for by family and the Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care staff until her passing.
