Obituary

Virginia Louise Ketch, a long time resident of the Springfield area, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013.

Born in 1918 in Houston, Texas to Earl and Lillie Isma Spencer, she married the love of her life, Clarence Ketch in 1941. Over the next 68 years she accompanied Clarence through life as they journeyed from Texas to Missouri, with short seasons in Louisiana and Alaska. As a devoted housewife, Virginia had three daughters who provided Virginia and Clarence with an amazing family including 6 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. After moving to Springfield and standing by Clarence''s side as he taught for years at Southwest Missouri State University, Virginia was co-owner of Gift Mansion and co-owner/founder of Adult Tendercare Center. She was a member of Brentwood Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence; daughter, Lillie Belle Glynn; sisters, Audrey Hudnall and Earlene Morrison and a brother Michael Spencer.

She is survived by her daughters, Clarene Shepherd and husband Bill and Sandra Perry and husband Pete; grandchildren, Beth Reynolds (Kyle), Stephanie Upton (Brian), Sean Glynn (Laura), Bryan Glynn (Mary), Heather Barnes (Scott, Jeff Aspalmeier (Kim) and 18 great grandchildren; a sister, Robert Sage and a brother, Pat Spencer.

Memorial Services will be held at the Klingner-Cope Rivermonte Chapel on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 10a.m.
