Virginia Welker (Norman) Welker's Obituary
Virginia A. Welker, 83 of Springfield passed away at Cox South with her family at her side on Wednesday, November 21, 2012.
Virginia worked 27 years at Lily Tullip. She loved gardening and her neighbors. Virginia was saved at Reynolds Chapel Church in a revival meeting in 1947 and remained a member of that church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence G. Welker and parents, Jesse L. & Lena (Mathis) Norman.
Virginia is survived by her children David (Patricia)Welker, Linda (Johnny) Morris; step daughter, Judy Thomas of Oregon; grandsons, Matthew of Springfield and Andrew of Texas; granddaughter, Jessica of Texas; sister, Ida Mae Swanigan of Buffalo.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 4-6 p.m. at the Klinger-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte Chapel. Funeral services on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 11 a.m. with burial to be at Reynolds Cemetery near Buffalo.
Memorial donations to be made in honor of Virginia to Reynolds Chapel Cemetery Fund.
