Virginia Hitchcock, 91, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2016.
She was born in Springfield, MO on Friday, February 13, 1925 to Phoebe Marie Roper and Edward Thomas Scott. Virginia married the love of her life Loren Elmer Hitchcock on January 21, 1946. They enjoyed 46 wonderful years together until his passing in 1992. Virginia''s hobbies were; antiques, dolls and interior decorating, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life Loren, 6 brothers, and 1 sister.
She is survived by 2 sons; Stanley Hitchcock of San Diego, CA, and Dr. Mark Hitchcock and wife Heather of Abilene, TX, one daughter, Beverly Stanton of Colorado Springs, CO, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte Chapel on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 5-7pm. Services will be held at Rivermonte Chapel on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 11am, with burial to follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
