IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Valli Jo
Mills
February 14, 1958 – April 4, 2025
Valli Jo Mills of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025.
Valli was born on February 14, 1958, in Springfield, Missouri. She was the beloved daughter of Royce (deceased) and Jody Henson. Valli was one of four siblings and is survived by her brothers Victor and Vaughn, and preceded in death by her brother Van.
As a teenager, Valli was baptized by her father at Happy Hollow Bible Camp, a moment that reflected the deep faith that guided her throughout her life. She grew up attending East Grand Church of Christ in Springfield, where her roots in faith and community were nurtured.
A proud graduate of Parkview High School, Class of 1976, Valli went on to attend Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas from 1976 to 1979. She later earned her degree from Missouri State University in 1993.
In 1991, Valli married the love of her life, Tom Mills. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and devotion. They are the proud parents of Alex and Evan Mills, and Valli's joy extended to her daughters-in-law, Alexis and Tatiana, whom she loved dearly.
Valli found both joy and success in her work with Tupperware, where her warmth and enthusiasm made her not only a skilled professional but a friend and mentor to many. She was surrounded by a strong and supportive community of friends and loved spending time with them—whether gathered in conversation, enjoying a casual round of golf, or sharing in one of her favorite traditions: float trips with family and friends, full of laughter, sunshine, and lasting memories.
Her faith continued to play a central role in her life, and she was a proud and active member of the Daughters of the Holy Cross.
Valli's kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, friendship, and quiet strength that will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
In honor of Valli's memory, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
