Treva Mae Swearingin, 66, of Strafford, MO was called home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. She was born on Sunday, August 19, 1951 in Bradleyville, MO to Paul and Beulah Mae Hicks.

Treva graduated from Central High School in 1969. On October 13 ^th , 1972 she and Emmett Swearingin were united in marriage. She spent many years working in the food industry. Treva retired from McDonalds and began her second career as a loving housewife where she lovingly tended to the needs of her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Irene Clutter and Lorene Mincks.

She is survived by her husband, Emmett "Big Buddy" Swearingin, two sons Shone Swearingin and Buddy Lee Swearingin (wife Christina), one daughter Carmela Berry (husband Jeff), two brothers Junior Hicks (wife Peggy) and Danny Hicks (wife Loretta), three sisters Loretta Stiles, Donna Sloan and Sarah Vaughn (husband Cecil). She was a wonderful Nana to her eight grandchildren Brandon, Mariah, Destiny, Tyler, Emily, Dylan, Lexi and Deavon.  Her three great-grandchildren William, Emma, and Elena were loved by their Nana "Gigi" more than they will ever know.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday March 20, 2018 at the Klingner-Cope Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO 65802 with visitation from 1:00 pm until service time. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Treva's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
