Reverend Thomas Wesley Hollingsworth, age 85, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born July 24, 1935 in Cottonwood Point, Missouri to Elton and Emily Hollingsworth. Rev. Hollingsworth served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. On November 23, 1956 he married the love of his life, his wife Ruby. Rev. Hollingsworth established the First Pentecostal Church in Springfield over 50 years ago, and he enjoyed hunting with his beagle dogs.

Survivors include his wife Ruby of the family home, a daughter and her husband Arletta and David Long of Walnut Grove, a son and his wife Thomas Jr. and Brenda Hollingsworth of Springfield, a daughter and her husband Sheila and Tim Hollon of Bowling Green, Kentucky, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, eleven brothers and sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Jasper Hollingsworth.

Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 10:00 am at Klingner Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday, January 15, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Interment will be at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Klingner Cope Family Funeral Home of Springfield, Missouri.
