Thomas Lee Gideon, 76 of Willard, MO went home to be with his Lord on September 21, 2013. He was born on November 4, 1936 in Decatur, IL to Glen and Mary (Matthews) Gideon.

He loved working outside, carpentry work, remodeling houses, but most of all teaching the word of God. He was an ordained minister with the International Conference of Faith Ministers and was the owner of Gideon Heating and Air Conditioning in Decatur, IL. Before he retired he worked for Springfield Engineering Company. He married Anna Rena Disney in 1954 who passed in 1966. He later married Eleanor "Ellie" Slover Morgan in 1970.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Ellie; 3 children, Patricia Dishinger of El Paso, IL, Charles Gideon of Nevada and Donald Morgan of Arkansas; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren 2 brothers, James and Stephen Gideon and a host of family and friends. Preceded in death by his 1st wife, Anna; parents; 3 sons, Thomas Glen Gideon, Jerald Lee Gideon and Ronald Leroy Morgan; 2 brothers, William and Jack Gideon; and sister, Mary Alice Collins.

The family has requested donations to be made to Mercy Hospice.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the North Side Assembly of God, 2310 N Campbell Ave, Springfield, MO 65803. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown, Illinois.
