Thomas "Brad" Carnell, 60 of Springfield passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016. He was born in Jacksonville, NC to Bill M. Carnell, MD and Joyce (Schmerbauch) Carnell on January 24, 1956.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill M. Carnell, MD. Brad is survived by his wife of 31 years, Novie, children Christa (Matt) Breedlove, Tommy Riddell and Mendy (Todd) Twigg; a brother Rocky (Alice) Carnell; six grandchildren Dasan and Kaden Breedlove, Austin, Peyton, Carson, and Maegan Twigg; and a host of family, friends and Golf Buddies.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Klingner-Cope at Rivermonte Chapel, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield with the service at 2 p.m. and entombment following in the Rivermonte Mausoleum.

Family has requested memorial contributions be made in Brad''s name to either St. Judes or the American Cancer Society.
