T. Howard King, 98, was born August 15, 1915 in Dadeville, Mo. to Gordon and Martha (Howard) King and passed away Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 in Springfield, MO.

Serving his country during WWII in the U.S. Army, he was one of the oldest members of the Woodland Heights Presbyterian Church and enjoyed his garden, music and playing the trombone.

He married Wanda Fuller on August 1, 1942 and had 3 children. He was employed as a crank shaft grinder for 37 years for Link Automotive Supply/O''Reilly Auto Parts.

Preceding him in death were his wife, parents, 1 sister, Emma Leigh Penny and 1 son-in-law, Grant W. Lawson.

Survivors include daughter, Theresa K. Lawson of Nixa, MO; 2 sons, Robert A. King and wife, Jill of Overland Park, KS and David G. King and wife, Pamela of Springfield, MO; 2 granddaughters, Merideth L. Wilkinson and husband Scott of Los Angeles, CA and Abby M. Legenza and husband Brian of Kansas City, MO; 1 great-grandson, Brady Shea Legenza and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 14 from 5-7 PM in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy EE (W. Division), Springfield, MO. Memorial Services will be held Monday, Feb. 17 at 2 PM in the Woodland Heights Presbyterian Church, 722 W. Atlantic St., Springfield, MO 65803 with Pastor Gregory Esselman officiating.
