Teresa Charlene Knight passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 after a long battle with kidney disease at Mercy hospital surrounded by family. Teresa was born on May 26, 1960 to Joan Bishop and George McGehee and grew up and lived in the Springfield area.

Teresa had a great love for her family, her kids and grandkids were a big focus for her in life. Teresa loved playing her games on her phone, going to the movies, unicorns, coloring and had a great enjoyment of the shows on TLC. Teresa was well loved by everyone who knew her. She has created many lasting relationships and her impact will be felt for years to come. She was a great mother to her children Billy, Melissa, Ashley and her grandchildren Dylan, Kaitlyn, Austin, Chase, Cecilia, Alyssa and Clarissa were the light of her life. She will be greatly missed.

Teresa was preceded in death by her son Billy Cooper, and her parents Joan and George as well as many loved ones.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM with a burial to follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.
