Sylvia "Colleen" Shuler was born October 23 ^rd , 1945 in Miami, Oklahoma to Russell and Maxine Arnold. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was survived by her  husband, Jack Shuler, her brothers Rusty Arnold, Glen Cargill, and sister Sarah Arnold.

She was a mother to Shelly Deckard, Tina Scott, Kenna McClanahan, Jason Shuler, and Jennifer Staton. She was grandmother to Steven Dukes, Kristopher Dukes, James Deckard, Logan Scott, Autumn Scott, Baillie McClanahan, Kenrick McClanahan, Crystal Shuler, Quinton Shuler, Shelsea Staton, Elizabeth Staton, Lacey Staton and Jada Staton, and 13 great grand children.

Colleen was a security officer at MSU for 28 years and was fondly known on campus as "Mean Colleen", as many students found a parking ticket on their vehicle.

Colleen actively raised and showed horses through out her life. She loved showing halter horses. But her favorite mare she raised was "Janey". Her back became so bad that she could no longer show.

She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren, showing livestock and many sporting events. She was also an avid fisherman and hunter. Colleen was active in Faith Baptist Church, and loved to sing. All of her family and church family will greatly miss her.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 28 ^th at 2:00 pm at Klingner Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel. A Visitation will be from Noon until service time on the day of the service. Internment will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Services are under the direction of Klingner Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel.
