Iva Shirlene "Sue" Montgomery (72) Ozark, MO went to be with her savior April 11, 2021. Born
October 20, 1948 in Point Lookout, MO (School of the Ozarks) to Robert L Holderby and Sylvia
E. (Daley) Holderby. Sue lived her early childhood in Branson, then moved to Springfield where
she graduated from Parkview Highschool. Sue married her high school sweetheart Jerry J
Montgomery June 19, 1967. Sue worked for The Assemblies of God in Springfield for many
years in the Division of Foreign Missions. Missions work, especially when it involved children,
was her passion. Sue and Jerry eventually moved to Colorado Springs where she worked for
Mission of Mercy. Eventually they moved to the Western Slopes of Colorado where she was the
Executive Director for the Dolphin House, a child advocacy program in Montrose. Sue retired to
Roswell, GA to receive a liver transplant in 2018, affording her more years with her family. Sue
is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Sylvia Holderby. She is survived by her spouse
Jerry (Ozark, MO), their 3 children Kevin Montgomery (Los Angeles, CA), Kristin (John)
Torgerson (Ridgedale, MO), Kimberly (Brian) Hill (Washington, DC); 7 grandchildren: Abbye
(Griffin) Bobbett (Ozark, MO), Amye and Anna Torgerson (Ozark, MO), Molly and Dillon
Montgomery (St. Louis, MO), Christian and Mackenzie Hill (Washington, DC). Her Siblings,
Juleen (Vance) Turnage (Springfield, MO), Robert (Billye) Holderby (Springfield, MO), Ron
(Aneitra) Holderby (Marshfield, MO)and many nieces and nephews.
