Stella Louise Young, 69, left this earth to go to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 2, 2017. She was born on Saturday, August 9, 1947 to Rachel and Fred Liles.
Stella married the love of her life, Robert Young, in 1963. To this union two daughters were born, Charlene and Barbie. Stella worked for many years as a nurse''s aide. During that time she made many friends and cared for many patients. Stella loved all flowers, especially wildflowers. She planted a large assortment all around her yard and enjoyed sharing them with others. Stella will be remembered as the painter in her family as she loved bright colors and painted everything she thought needed it. She enjoyed watching movies, Horror and Science Fiction were her favorites. Stella liked "working on her pictures" (scrapbooking) and over the years did many different crafts. She and Robert went to town every day for a soda pop and just to get out. They liked driving back roads looking for wildflowers and enjoying the outdoors. Stella talked to everyone she saw everywhere she went. She never met a stranger and never had a bad word to say about anyone.
Stella was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Eddie Liles and Judy Loftis, parents- in- law Wayne & Zenia Young, brother-in-laws Dwight, Darrell and Donald Young and Brad Johnson, sister-in-laws Willa Barnum and Carol Henry and one great-grandson Bentley Garrison.
Stella is survived by her daughters Charlene Hobbs and Barb Schofield (husband Randy), siblings Faye Moore (Husband Ronnie), Bobbi Briant, Jeanie Liles and Claudie Liles (wife Rose), in-laws Raymond Young (wife Karol), Jack Henry, Carlos Young, Sandy Young and Lynn Young, grandchildren Jennie Weber, Robin Price (husband Aaron), Justin Schofield (wife Jamie), Amber Price (husband Nick), David Green, Megan Swearengin (husband Lars) and Joey Schofield, 10 great-grandchildren and many other family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 6 from 10-11am, with services to follow at Klingner-Cope FamilyFuneral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave, Springfield, Mo 65804. Ronnie Roy will be officiating and interment will be at Prairie Hollow Cemetery immediately following the services.
