Stanley Bright, 82, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. He was born on August 30, 1934 in Bridgeport, NE to Marion Glen and Ida Mae (Myers) Bright.

He married Elsie Sharpton on September 6, 1957 in Kimball, NE and to this union had four sons. He was a truck driver at A&W Water Service. Stanley later moved to Springfield in 1994 from Byers, CO and worked in maintenance at the Assemblies of God Headquarters. He was a hard worker, he loved his family dearly, especially spending time with his grandchildren, solving word searches and watching game shows.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and 2 sisters.

Survivors are his wife, four sons, Calvin Bright, Rodney Bright (Barbara), Nolan Bright (Crystal), and Glen Bright (Stacy) all of Springfield, MO; One sister, Ramona Shafer of Omaha, NE; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 26, 2016 from 5-7 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte (4500 S. Lone Pine Springfield, MO) . Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 10 am at the Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Ken Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at the Eastlawn Cemetery.
