Shirley Joyce Sullins, 82, of Springfield, MO departed this life on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. She was born on Sunday, September 1, 1935 and at the age of three, was adopted by E.R. and Eula "Lizzie" Crow.
Shirley married Wayne Ray Sullins on December 24, 1955 and to this union two children were born. She was a career school teacher and loved giving back to her community through teaching. Shirley was a much loved, gentle, selfless, giving woman and wife who developed many lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister Betty Wollard and one grandson Perry McClenahan.
Shirley is survived by her two children Michael Sullins (wife Cindy) and Barbara McClenahan (husband Clay), two siblings Patsy Mills and Ward Earl Stovall, three grandchildren Amy Davis (husband Clint), John Sullins (wife Brittany) and Katie Campbell (husband Colt), five great-grandchildren William, Ellie and Clara Davis and Lucy and Iris Sullins and numerous, nieces, nephews, friends and family.
A visitation will be held from 10-11am on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO 65802 with funeral services to follow at 11am. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Salvation Army, 1707 W. Chestnut Expy, Springfield, MO 65802.
