Shirley Jean Davis, 72 of Springfield, MO passed away at her home on August 16, 2015 after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Walnut Grove, MO on January 15, 1943 to the late Loyde and Marie Barnett.

She was united in marriage to James Floyd Davis on March 28, 1967. Along with her husband Jim, she leaves behind her 4 children, David Gailey and wife Nancy of Nixa, MO, Cindy Gailey of Kansas City, MO, Ron Davis and wife Stacy of Springfield, MO and Beverly Lance and husband Howie of Willard, MO; 9 grandchildren, Matt Kuhs and wife Cami, Samantha Kuhs, Courtney Pen and husband Justin, Derby Davis, Alexis Davis, Michael de la Torre, John de la Torre, Megan de la Torre and Cassidy Lance; 2 great-grandchildren, Jacob Jackson and Ariahna Pen; 3 sisters, Patsy Baldwin (Don), Mary Brown (Price) and Judy Day (Dub); 1 brother, Mike Barnett (Lou) and a host of many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers Bill and James Henry Barnett and 2 sisters, Tony and Barbara Jo Barnett.

Shirley was a faithful member of Graceway Baptist Church for 20 years. She was a devoted wife for 48 years and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed by many.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 6 till 8 p.m. in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO. Service will be Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
