Shirley Cooper Crain was born November 26, 1936 to Georgia Florence Hicks and Clarence Cooper near Windsor, MO and passed away October 4, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband Omer Crain on July 28, 2014. Also, by four brothers, Roy, Quincy, Kenny and Denny and one sister Maudie Meads of Clinton, MO. Shirley is survived by one sister, Virginia VanWinkle of Battlefield, MO.
Shirley is the mother of one son, Rick Crain (wife Becky) of Battlefield, MO, and two daughters, Kathy Johnson (husband Don) and Tina Crain, both of Springfield, MO.
Shirley and Omer were the owners of Crain Tree Service for many years in Clinton, MO and Southwest Tree Service in Springfield, MO. Shirley worked for Doctors Hospital for several years in Springfield, MO. She also worked as a med tech in two retirement homes in Clinton and Springfield, MO and was a real estate agent in Springfield, MO.
Shirley was an avid reader of the Kennedy dynasty as a hobby.
She is also survived by three grandsons: Brandon Crain of Battlefield, MO, Seth and Tallen Crain of Kansas City, MO and one granddaughter Megan Borders (husband Anthony) and their children Tevin and Tia of Ozark, MO.
