SHIRLEY ANNE (BARNES) GOTT

Shirley Gott, 74 of Springfield, MO went to Heaven on December 2, 2013. She was born on October 21, 1939 in Fordland, MO to Walter and Myrtle Barnes.

Shirley worked for many years and was retired from Litton. She was a strong and loving woman. She spent many months caring for her husband Marvin before he passed away earlier this year, even though she had been battling cancer herself for many years. She enjoyed boating, reading and watching TV with her family. She loved her husband and her kids and made many sacrifices for them over the years. Her life was devoted to her family. She is loved and will be missed by many people.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Gott, a son William David (Billy) Gott; her parents; a brother Dennis Barnes and a sister Blanche Barnes.

Shirley is survived by her children, Marvin Gott Jr. and wife Darla, Jerry Gott and wife Bobbie, Diana Maez and husband Phil, Bobby Gott and wife Melissa; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Barnes and wife Marilyn, David Barnes and wife Betty; sister, Sue Anderson and many nieces, nephews and friends including the Morgans from Southern, CA.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 6, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at the Klingner-Cope at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO. A service will be Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10 a.m. with interment in White Chapel Memorial Gardens
