Sharon A. Ripper, age 79, of Springfield passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022. She was born March 18, 1943 in Tulsa, OK to Paul and Wynema (Gower) Rambo.

Sharon has lived in Springfield for many years. She worked at the General Electric plant in Springfield for many years a line worker. The company produced electric motors for refrigerators and other household appliances. GE sold the plant to Regal-Beloit in 2004 where she continued working until retirement.

Sharon enjoyed gardening and caring for the home that she and Bill made. She attended Messiah Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Willis (Bill) Ripper; and her son, Christopher J. Sample.

Sharon is survived by her two sons David P. Sample and his wife Angela, of Sapulpa, OK, and Frank A. Sample of Nixa, MO; grandchildren, Zach Sample, Libby Sample and Sean Sample; and one great-grandchild, Matt; her two brothers Joseph A. Rambo and his wife Fifi of Springfield, MO and Lee G. Rambo and his wife Judy of Dayton, OH.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield.
