Sharon Ruth Abney, daughter of Henry and Myrtle Broeker, was born October 23, 1940, in Lawrance KS and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct 19, 2015, in her home in Strafford, MO., at the age of 74.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her parents; one son, Marvin Richard; her sister, Irene (Carmack); two brothers, Buddy and Wayne and one son-in-law, Richard Shafferkoetter.

Sharon leaves behind 4 children, Tammy Cooper, Rufus Abney and wife, Angela, Teresa Terry and husband, Howard, and Rodney Abney and wife, Melissa; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was an amazing woman of God who spent her time caring for her family, crocheting and spreading love to so many by the crafts of her hands and the prayers from her heart. She will be greatly missed by all of those who have known her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, Oct 23, from 6 to 8 p.m., with services on Saturday, at 10:00 a.m., in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Highway EE (Division). Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
