Scott Lee Chastain, 56, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at home with his wife by his side. He was born on Monday, February 1, 1960 to Richard and Sue (Nimmo) Chastain in Springfield, MO.

Scott loved the outdoors. Most of all fishing, rock climbing, Scuba Diving and Sky Diving. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially his best friend Max.

He was preceded in death by his Father, one brother Deryll and his son Dustin.

Scott is survived by his Mother, his wife Kathy of the home, one daughter Christy Mathews (husband Charles) of Bolivar, MO, three sons, Jeremiah Ashworth (wife Amanda) of Pleasant Hope, MO, Zachary Ashworth (wife Anna) of Florida and Ryon Woody (wife Jamie) of Republic, MO, seven grand children and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 3, 2017, from 5-7pm at the Clear Creek Baptist Church in Springfield, MO with funeral services on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10am. Burial will follow at the Clear Creek Cemetery.
