Sarah Ann Turk Bowers of Ash Grove and Willard, MO, age 79, went to join her Lord in Heaven on Friday, March 16 ^th after a long battle with Alzheimers. Sarah was born August 12 ^th , 1938. She was the only child of Thomas Loren and Leona Turk.

Sarah was known by many in Ash Grove and Willard. Her father was the mayor of Ash Grove and owned Turk Brothers Hardware Company. She worked for 29 years at the Willard Block Plant. Sarah and Jerry co-founded and ran Ed's Dairy Sweet on Jackson Street, across from the then Willard High School from '62-69.

She married Jerry Bowers on August 18 ^th , 1956. At the time of her passing, they had been married for 61 years, and according to Jerry, were "still on their honeymoon."

Her friends and family will remember her most for her loving kindness, small stature, and of course, her delicious fried chicken, gravy, and meatloaf.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Braxton Bowers. She is survived by her husband Jerry Bowers, son Jeff Bowers and wife Brenda, and grandchildren Brandon Bowers and Shantia Bowers Mecham.

Family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday March 21 ^st from 10-11 am at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel (5234 West State Hwy EE) Springfield. Funeral service will follow at 11am with burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
