Ruth Maxine (Tettleton) Davis, 90, passed away peacefully at home in Springfield MO, on Friday, October 25, 2013. She was born on July 23rd, 1923 in Springfield, MO to Horace and Minnie Tettelton, and was the third oldest of twelve children. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. She was married on March 28th 1953 to Carl B. Davis who also preceded her in death.

Ruth was a charter member of the Springfield Grandmothers Club, and volunteered many hours at the Senior Citizens Center located at Doling Park.

She is survived by two daughters Sarah Smith and her husband Bob of Battlefield, along with Betty Booher of Springfield. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two brothers and five sisters.

What a huge blessing she has been to all her family and friends, and now she is receiving an incredible greeting in Heaven.

A visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 29th, 2013 at the Klingner-Cope/Rivermonte Funeral Home. The Funeral will be held at 12:30pm Wednesday October 30th, 2013 at the Klingner- Cope/Rivermonte Chapel both are located at 4500 South Lone Pine; Springfield, MO 65804. Burial will be held at the National Veteran''s Cemetery located at Seminole and Glenstone directly following the service.
