Ruth Jane Parrish, 89, of Willard, MO passed away on September 7, 2013. She was born on December 24, 1923.

She loved to travel, she and her husband Garland were avid golfers and belonged to Greene Hills Country Club, she and Garland loved to hunt and fish and they also together started one of the first resorts and grocery stores in the Joe Bald area of Kimberling City when Tablerock lake was built. Ruth belonged to Tatum Chapel Baptist Church, she was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star.

Ruth was preceded in death by by her parents Tena Ann and William Orval Justice; husband Garland James Parrish; daughters Pamela Jane Parrish and Karen Lyn Parrish.

She is survived by her son and his wife Patrick Stephen and Elizabeth Parrish; grandchildren Tracy and Daniel Sturkie, Angela Kennedy, Joseph Widelock, Casandra and Justin Butcher, Tammy and Scott Palfreyman, Bradley Parrish, Lauren Parrish, Genen Parrish and great granddaughter Courtney Arnall.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 1:00 -2:00 pm with services to follow at 2:00 at Klingner-Cope at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO.

Memorial donations may be made in honor of Ruth to the Greene County Humane Society 3161 W. Norton Rd Springfield, MO.
