IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ruth Christine
Jones
August 9, 1939 – November 26, 2025
Ruth Christine Lawson Jones 86, of Springfield MO, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Magnolia Square Nursing Home in Springfield, MO.
Christine was born to Martin and Ruth Lawson on Wednesday, August 09, 1939. in Springfield, MO. Christine is survived by her children, Rhonda (Randy) Branson, Rusty (Sarah) Jones, Dawn (Dick) Winslow and Dena Jo (Brian) Altic; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and countless friends.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Marie; her parents, Martin and Ruth; her brothers, Wayne, Earl, Alvin and Leon.
Christine was a homemaker and stayed very busy raising her five children. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidery and cooking. She was very involved in church and loved serving the Lord. She was a member of Eudora Baptist Church and attended and served there for many years.
She loved music and was a very accomplished concert pianist in her teenage years and served as church pianist for many years. In 2017, she became ill and was wheelchair bound, and this began her time at Magnolia Square Nursing Home, where she was very active in church services, communion, and all the activities they provided. She became the President of Residence Affairs and remained in that role until her death. She truly cared about the residence and staff at the facility. She took the time to get to know them and shared with them the love of God and the importance of knowing and having a relationship with Him.
She loved to have fun, from car shows to holiday parties, she loved them all. She loved visiting with family and friends, and was always ready to make you laugh until you cried with her witty, unassuming humor. She also had the most tender heart and sweetest soul. She loved the Lord with everything within her, and it showed in the way she lived her life. She will be so deeply missed.
She is now in the presence of her Savior and family that has gone on before her. Her suffering is over, and eternity with her Lord has begun.
