Ruby Jane (Slavens) Daves, 90 of Springfield, was born on April 19, 1926 in Warner, OK to Earl and Martha (Jones) Slavens. She passed away on June 16, 2016.

She was a loving person, an avid reader and wasn''t a rich woman but would give to multiple charities. She was proud of her Native American Heritage, was a caregiver to all of her siblings, nieces and nephews and was the patriarch of the family.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands and siblings, Larry Wayne Slavens, Pearl Riggs, Mary "Cindy" Goin and Dorothy Reynolds. She is survived by her siblings, Letha Lain, Earl "Butch" (Linda) Slavens, Wanda "Sue" (Phillip) Ware, Willa "Deane" (Bobby) Barber, Jerry (Jane) Slavens, William "Joe" (Gloria) Slavens; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 5 till 7 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Midtown, 1635 N Benton, Springfield, MO. Service will be on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery.
