Ruby Johnson, 89, of Springfield, MO passed away at home on Monday, October 17, 2022 with her husband by her side. She was born on Monday, December 12, 1932 in Bath, NY to Mr. and Mrs. Symonds.

Ruby worked as an accountant for 30 years with Ingersoll Rand before moving to Springfield, MO. She then spent the next 10 years working at the Southwest Missouri Indian Center, taking on the role of manager after four years. There she met Allen Owl Johnson and in 1983 the two were united in marriage. Together they started Owl's Original Craft and were founding members of Southwest Arts & Craft. The family would like to thank all the staff at Cox In home Care, In Home Solutions, Aurora In home Care, Faith Hospice and Access Hospice for all the kindness and compassion they showed Ruby over the years. They would also like to thank the goodness of the Great Spirit for finally allowing her to come home and spend the last week of her life surrounded by family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Earl Brown and two brothers Arthur and Robert Symonds.

Ruby is survived by her husband.
