Roy L. Lee, 73, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014 in Springfield, MO. He was born to William and Bertha (Baker) Lee on May 2, 1941 in Alicia, AR.
Roy married Victoria Ann Flint on Sept 16, 1978 in Grand Rapids, MI. They enjoyed 36 years as each other''s best friend, traveling extensively and enjoying life together. He cared deeply for his family, friends, their Chihuahuas, Pepie and Cha, and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Preceding him in death were his parents and siblings: JC, Doris Sandusky, Reba Sandusky, Joe Will and Johnny Ray.
He is survived by three children: Shelia A. Bronner (Duane) of Wyoming, MI, Debra A. VanderHeide (Roger) of Panama City Beach, FL, and James R. Lee (Jennifer) of Hudsonville, MI.; six grandchildren, Brittany Romanek (Steve), Matthew Bronner (Lauren), Roger Lee VanderHeide (Lisa), Zachery VanderHeide (Amber), Julie Ann Lee and Justin Lee; five great-grandchildren, Madyson, Mackenzie, Isabella, Taylor, and Christopher; and many nieces and nephews who he spoke with regularly.
A memorial service will be held Monday, January 5, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte chapel, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO, senior pastor, Don Blansit, of Nixa First Assembly of God, officiating.
Family is requesting memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, be given to your local Humane Society.
