Roy Arnold Gregory, 73, of Battlefield, Missouri passed away May 29, 2012 in Springfield, Missouri. Roy was born to Ralph and Ruby Gregory on May 8, 1939 in Springfield, Missouri. Roy was the older of two children. His younger brother was Robert Gregory formerly of Joplin, Missouri. Roy was educated at Central High School, and after High School he joined the United States Marine Corp. Military life agreed with him, but family brought him back home after only 4 years of service. He later went to work for Kraft, where he spent the next 32 years until retirement. In 1983 he met the love of his life, and married his wife LeAnn of 29 years. However retirement did not agree with Roy, so he went back to work with the Republic school system and drove a bus for several more years. The children all loved their bus driver. Roy was preceded in death by his mother Ruby Gregory, his daughter Tonya Gregory, and his brother Robert Gregory. Roy leaves behind his wife LeAnn Gregory, his son Michael Gregory, his granddaughter Bonita, his grandsons Daniel and Alex, and nephews Jeffery and Jason as well as a long list of friends and associates who all loved him. Roy will be forever remembered in the hearts of those left behind. Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m Friday, June 8, 2012 at Klingner-Cope at Rivermonte Chapel 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave. Springfield, Mo. 65804.
