Ross E. Cheney, 66 of Springfield, was born on August 8, 1948 in Riverside, CA to William and Charlotte (Heier) Cheney. He passed away on June 13, 2015.

He was a long haul trucker and an entrepreneur, loved to spend time with his family and cared about everyone, especially children who were less fortunate.

Ross was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carolyn Cheney; 2 sons, William Ross (Jaclyn) and Marcus (Janie); grandchildren, Elyzabeth, James, Marcus, Macayla, Savannah, Mystic, Dakota and Cynthia; mother, Charlotte Cheney; 2 brothers, Robert and Michael; 3 sisters, Linda, Patricia and Laurie along with a host of family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 6 till 8 pm at Klingner-Cope Midtown Chapel, 1635 N. Benton. Service will be on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11 am in Orchard Crest Baptist Church, 320 Orchard Crest Ave, Springfield. Interment will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
