Ron Reid, 77 of Strafford with family and friends at his side went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 17, 2016. He was born April 20, 1938 in Springfield, MO to Joseph and Theora Stokes Reid. He married Helen Berg in Springfield on December 20, 1957. Ron was a bus driver with Greyhound for 24 years and a over the road driver for a total of 47 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting and especially spending time with family and friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Rick. He is survived by his wife, Helen of Strafford, a daughter Debbie Beasley and her husband Danny of Battlefield, MO, two granddaughters Autumn Wood and her husband Jim of Nixa, MO, and Ashley Hicks and her husband Craig of Republic, MO; four great grandchildren, Grant, Ava, Tanner, and Addison, a brother Fred Reid and his wife Dora of Ozark, MO and numerous other family and friends.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Klingner-Cope at Midtown, 1635 N. Benton, Springfield, MO. The funeral service will be Friday, January 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.
