Obituary

Ronald Dan Manweiler, 77, of Buffalo, MO, died peacefully in his sleep and went home to be with the Lord January 3, 2022. He was born May 17, 1944, in Greeley, CO, the son of Daniel Manweiler and Lily Mae (Koch) Manweiler Cox.

He served his country as a PT boat crewman in the U.S. Navy, doing two tours in Vietnam. He married Paula Ray Barbee on October 9, 1970, in Springfield, MO. He served his God by teaching Sunday School, driving the church bus, and doing occasional handyman projects. He retired from General Electric as a maintenance electrician and settled in Buffalo, MO. He served his family through faithful care, guidance, and protection.

He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Manweiler; mother, Lily Mae Manweiler Cox; stepfather, Robert Cox; and wife of 38 years, Paula Ray (Barbee) Manweiler.

Ron leaves behind two sisters, Kathy and Richard Haigwood of Alton, MO, and Debbie Baldwin of Two Rivers, WI; three children, daughter Niki and Greg Smith of Evington, VA, son Rick and Michelle Manweiler of Buffalo, MO, and son Danny Manweiler of Springfield, MO; and six grandchildren, Isaac and Levi Smith of Evington, VA, and Henry, Harrison, Hamilton, and Hattie Manweiler of Buffalo, MO.

A visitation will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 10 to 11 a.m., and a funeral service at 11 a.m., at Klingner-Cope Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO, with Rev. Ken Jankowski officiating. Interment will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
