Rev. Ronald DeWitt
Born in Sayre, PA, raised in Elmira, NY; Rev. DeWitt passed away from cancer on January 2, 2014 in his home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Visiting in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel on January 11 from 10:00 a.m. until service at 11:30 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; son, Robert; sisters, Suzanne, Sherry and their families; close cousin/friend, Karen and her husband; in-laws, Pauline, Steve, Gina and her family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law.
He earned a Bachelor's from Central Bible College and a Master's from Jackson State University. Since 1980, Ron served as an appointed U.S. Missionary with the A/G, establishing two and building three churches for deaf children.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ron DeWitt Memorial Fund % Louisiana A/G P.O. Box 7388 Alexandria, LA.
