Rod Hilton, 68, of Nixa, Missouri passed away surrounded by family on Monday, January 14, 2019 in Springfield, MO. He was born on November 27, 1950 in Springfield, Missouri to Geneva Mae (Mayfield) and Ernest Clell Hilton.

Rod was married for 23 years and had 3 daughters. He was a Federal Correctional Officer for 25 years. Rod loved horses and enjoyed trail rides at Eminence, playing pool at the Nixa Senior Center, woodworking, leather working, metal work, craftsmanship and home improvements.

Preceding him in death are his parents and brothers, Michael and Ronnie.

Rod is survived by his 3 daughters, Deangela, Heather and Mindy; 6 grandchildren; his fiancé and love of 13 years, Carmen Shortt and a brother, Roger.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 11:00am with a service to follow at 12:00pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel (5234 W. State Highway EE Springfield) with a burial to take place in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Rod's honor can be made to the Nixa Senior Center (404 S. Main St, Nixa, MO 65714).
