Robert E. Royal, 83, of Springfield passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Magnolia Square. He was born on May 25, 1930 to Clyde and Cona Royal.

Robert was Vice President of Manufacturing at Litton Advanced Circuitry Division from which he retired. He served in the Army Air Corp, enjoyed gardening, wood working, raising cattle, was an outdoor sportsman and was a 60 year member of the Masons.

Preceding him in death were his wife Betty, a nephew Randy Deatherage, and his parents.

Survivors include his daughter Gloria Thompson and her husband Tom; grandson Robert Thompson; sister, Phyllis Barnhouse; niece Suzie Nims; great nephew Randy Sorrells and many other family and friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 from 11:30-1:00 p.m. at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Midtown, 1635 N. Benton with the service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery, 2244 E. Pythian, Springfield, MO.
