Robert D. Pittenger's Obituary
Robert "Bob" Pittenger, 88, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 25, 2013.
Bob graduated from Wichita East High School in 1942 and married Margaret his wife of 60 years in 1947 after returning from his state side duties during WWII. Bob and Margaret were active charter members of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Wichita and still have many friends there. They moved to Springfield, MO in 2005. Bob will be remembered as a loving dad and pampa.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret who passed in 2007.
Bob is survived by his two daughters Martha Mikula and her husband Martin and Nancy Bickel and her husband Richard and his granddaughter Natalie, who he adored.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral home at Rivermonte 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave Springfield, MO with burial to follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
The family requests donations be made in honor of Bob to the Salvation Army 350 N. Market Wichita, KS 67202.
