Obituary

Robert Allen Little, 62, passed away Friday, October 2, 2020 at his home in Nixa, Missouri of a heart attack. Robert was born March 5, 1958 in Burge Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born into a family of three sisters and was the baby boy, and they loved playing house with him and letting him have his way up to a point. Robert graduated from Central High School in 1976. He fell in love and married Sherry Jarrett on September 22, 1978. Robert worked at Syntex for 33 years and retired October 31, 2010.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Adrian and Imogene Little, infant brother David Eugene, brother in law Terry Jarrett, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other family members and friends that meant a lot to him. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sherry, sisters Barbara Ketchum (Sam), Wanda Little, Marti Weatherford (Kenny), mother in law Judy Corbin, and many nieces and nephews who he loved to tease, lots of cousins, and other family members and a host of friends he had made over the years. He had a special friend and companion, his faithful dog Rascal.

He had lots of hobbies in his lifetime including fishing, frogging, deer hunting, camping, feeding and watching birds, listening to country and gospel music especially Reba McEntire, Mickey Gilley, and the Highwaymen. He even went to an Elvis concert on June 17, 1977! He loved singing and later sang with his sisters at church and at funerals. He had a rich bass voice and others loved to hear him. He also loved the St. Louis Cardinals and made many trips to see them play and watched them on TV. Robert had a big loving heart and felt things deeply. He will truly be missed by all. Robert will be cremated and no visitation is planned.

A Memorial Service for Robert A. Little will be held Monday, October 12, 2020 at 10:00 am at Klingner Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel. Inurnment will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Klingner Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel.
