Robert Donald Grooms, 82 years young, of Springfield, MO passed away at his home on Thursday, March 16, 2023. He was born on Tuesday, December 17, 1940 in Wilmington, OH to Noah and Ruth Grooms.

Bob was a Vietnam Veteran and a proud Navy man.

He has gone to join his wife Darlene (Kohtanen) Grooms, both of his parents and all of his siblings in heaven.

Bob leaves behind his son Keith Grooms, his daughter Wendy (Grooms) Davis and her fiancé Joseph Hajek, three grandchildren Jacob Davis, Carisa Davis and (bonus grandchild) Matthew Hajek and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.

Full military honors wil be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Rd., Springfield, MO 65804. In lieu of flowers, his family asks donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation and/or the Hulston Cancer Center in Springfield, Missouri in his name.
