Robert "Bob" William Baker, 88 of Springfield, MO passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Willard Care Center. He was born January 4, 1924 in Springfield to Perry and Eva Slone Baker.
Robert enjoyed fishing, boating and taking care of his lawn, especially working on his lawn mower. He was a very light hearted man and loved to joke and tell stories. Robert also enjoyed being with family and friends.
Preceding Robert in death were his parents, a sister Marie Hampton and a brother Raymond Baker. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Edna; two sons, Denver Baker and wife Recquel, and Jack Baker and wife Tammy; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a niece Nora Hampton and a host of family and friends.
A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO. The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Clear Creek Cemetery.
