Richard Lee Weston, 84, of Springfield, MO passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017. He was born on Thursday, February 2, 1933 in Fort Scott, KS.
Richard married Lois Jean Jones on August 21, 1954 in Pittsburg, KS and to this union three children were born. Along with his wife, he co-owned Tax & Financial Advisers, LLC. Richard was an Elder with the First Cumberland Church, the Treasurer for eight of the nine years he served on the N.A.T.P. board of directors, a 32 degree Master Mason at the Fellowship Lodge 345 in Joplin, MO, a member of the O.E.S. Republic, MO Chapter 370, an Emeritus board member of the Springfield, MO Salvation Army and an active member in numerous youth organizations.
He was preceded in death in by his parents and one daughter Tammy Weston.
He is survived by his wife, two children Lynda Misegadis (husband Melvin) of Stephenville, TX and John Weston (wife Cheryl) of Battlefield, MO, one son-in-law Craig Seibel of Springfield, MO, three grandchildren Heather Weston of Springfield, MO, Travis Weston (wife Ashley) of Caseville, MO and Matthew Weston of Battlefield, MO and a host of clients, friends and family.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 4:30-7pm at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave., Springfield, MO 65804. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday, August 18, 2017 at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 4216 S.
